Netflix Unveils “The Price of Confession”: A Dark Korean Thriller Premiering December 5

Netflix has officially announced that its highly awaited Korean series The Price of Confession will premiere on Friday, December 5. Alongside the release date, Netflix revealed a chilling teaser poster and trailer, highlighting its substantial investment of over ₩30 billion (approximately $22 million USD) into Korean content.

The mystery thriller centers on Yoon Soo, accused of murdering her husband, and Mo Eun, a mysterious figure known as a “witch.” Their intertwined fates behind prison walls explore the cost of confession and the secrets binding two contrasting women.

The teaser poster depicts Yoon Soo (Jeon Do-yeon) and Mo Eun (Kim Go-eun) leaning on opposite sides of a prison wall in matching uniforms. Yoon Soo’s desperate eyes contrast with Mo Eun’s vacant stare, hinting at a psychological battle and hidden motives.

With the tagline “Suspicious innocence, confession for sale,” the series delves into truth, manipulation, and the stakes of a deadly bargain. The trailer intensifies the suspense, showing a bloodied Yoon Soo calmly calling emergency services, arousing suspicion during police questioning and her husband’s funeral.

Mo Eun confronts Yoon Soo in prison, proposing a dark deal: confess to the murder in exchange for an unrefusable favor. Prosecutor Baek Dong-hoon (Park Hae-soo) and defense lawyer Jang Jung-gu (Jin Seon-kyu) pursue the truth, unsure whom to trust.

Featuring powerful performances and a gripping storyline blending psychological tension and intrigue, The Price of Confession is set to be Netflix’s next major Korean hit, premiering exclusively on December 5.
